What makes it different from a normal robe?
A normal robe only traps the heat you make. This one makes its own. Three carbon fibre panels sit in the lining across your upper back and both sides of your chest, and they warm up in about 30 seconds. They run from any USB power bank in the inside pocket, so there is no wall socket and no cable across the room.
How do I turn the heat on?
Clip the controller inside the robe, drop your power bank in a front pocket, then press the button on the little clip-on controller. Each press moves you up a level, one through three, and the indicator light shows where you are.
Will it fit me?
It is one size and full length. On most adults up to around 190 cm it falls past the knee, and the tie belt lets you wear it as loose or as closed as you like.

How the heat works
A slim USB-C power bank sits in an inside pocket by your hip and feeds three carbon fibre panels: one across your upper back, two down the front of your chest. Carbon fibre spreads the heat evenly instead of putting a hot wire against you, so you feel a broad warmth rather than a hot spot. One small clip-on controller cycles three levels, and it unplugs completely so the whole robe can be hand washed.

How warm does it actually get?
Three levels on the controller. Level one sits a little above body temperature and is the one most women leave it on all evening. Level three is closer to a hot water bottle held against your back. Each press of the button steps you up one, and the indicator light shows which level you are on.
How long does the battery last?
Up to about 10 hours on level one and around 4 hours on level three with the included power bank. Any USB power bank you already own will run it too, so you can keep a spare charged.
Will it fit me?
It is one size and full length. On most adults up to around 190 cm it falls past the knee, and the tie belt closes it as loosely or as snugly as you want. The sleeves are long and open rather than fitted.
Can I wash it?
By hand only, never in the machine. Unplug the remote at the hip socket and lift the power bank out first, then hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent and hang it to dry. Do not machine wash, do not tumble dry, do not wring the heating panels and do not iron over them.
Is it safe to fall asleep in?
The panels run on low voltage from a USB power bank rather than from a wall socket, and the heat switches itself off after a set period. We would still treat it like any heated item and stay on the lower levels if you think you might nod off.
Can I wear it outside?
Yes, and that is what a lot of people buy it for. It is fleece rather than a waterproof, so think porches, balconies, garden fires and cold houses rather than standing out in the rain.
What is it actually made of?
A 280 gsm plush fleece outer with a cream sherpa lining down the front, around the hood and turned back at the cuffs. The heating panels sit between the two layers, so you feel warmth and not wiring.
